One year ago, Isabelle Drake’s eighteen-month-old son was kidnapped from his bedroom. She hasn’t slept that entire time. The case has gone cold, but with all her extra time from not sleeping, Isabelle spends it looking for her son. A chance encounter with a true-crime podcaster leads her to give him an interview and into her life. She’s desperate for answers even if they lead her down some dark roads, especially about the people she loves and All the Dangerous Things about them.
This book was amazing! A fantastic look into the dark side of motherhood that we’re always ashamed to talk about, which was really amazing since the author admits she’s not a mother. I could not put it down. While there were definitely some morally wrong choices that were made, it was hard not to feel like people got what they deserved. If you want to know how desperate a mother can get while looking for her child, this book is for you. It’s full of suspense and you don’t know to the end whether she is guilty herself or not. If you want to know, you’ll have to pick up this book!
