Book Buddies: Dazzle Makes a Wish is the third book in the Book Buddies series about stuffed animals who live in the public library for kids to play with and take home when they read their books. Dazzle is a unicorn in a toy store who has a dream of being loved and owned by a child. He is bought by a grandma who takes him home for her grandbaby, but eventually, he finds his way to the library with the other book buddies. Dazzle makes friends with them, the kids who get to take him home, and other toys; he learns about himself and that his dream has already happened, just not in the way he originally thought.
Dazzle is a happy and helpful character who is fun to read about because he is a problem-solver. I love stuffed animals, so this book series (and story) is a good one for me! I like that the story has short chapters and is easy to understand. I like that there are pictures throughout the book to help me better imagine what I’m reading. I have not read books two and three yet, but Dazzle Makes a Wish makes sense and can be read by itself.
